Because He Lives

I have been focusing on how the Savior helps me accomplish those important things that I face/will face in my life, and how I can better serve Him.  This video fits perfectly.  Because He lives I feel that hope of becoming a better person.  Because He lives I have a Friend by my side, always.  Because He lives I have purpose in this life because I have something to aim for and blessings in store because I will also live again.  Because He lives, I gain direction.  Because He lives I have peace.  Because He lives I have comfort and courage. Because He lives....What can I say more?  Because He lives, I have or can have everything! I am so grateful to Him for His life, love, sacrifice, and the Joy, Peace, Comfort, Committment, Dedication, Direction, and other Blessings He brings.

My favorite hymn (well, okay: ONE of them) is "Savior, Redeemer of My Soul." I love to listen to it and feel of the Spirit it brings, (especially when it is something like when Dallyn Vail Bayles sings it:
)

I, too, have prayed that prayer many times.  I want to be in perfect harmony with the Savior and I have been given so many gifts to help me be so: Patience, Love, Forgiveness, Charity, Understanding, Compassion, Obedience, and so many others I could not count them all.  The Savior has made them possible and effective.  My soul mourns many times for all the mistakes I make: "how can I ever be like Him? How can I move forward? I will just mess up again!" But He is merciful and mighty to save and knows I have more in me than I think.  He has given me the blessing of the Atonement to correct those faults and have strength to do more good, to progress.  He is my loving, embracing, supporting, unselfish Elder Brother and I, as His little sister am surrounded endlessly in His Compassion and Protection.

(PS about being afraid to move forward for fear of messing up:
"Don't let the fear of striking out hold you back." -Babe Ruth
"I invite you to embrace what the Lord has blessed you with and to act in faith. Do not take counsel from your fears.
To not take counsel from our fears simply means that we do not permit fear and uncertainty to determine our course in life, to affect negatively our attitudes and behavior, to influence improperly our important decisions, or to divert or distract us from all in this world that is virtuous, lovely, or of good report.To not take counsel from our fears means that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ overrules our fears and that we press forward with a steadfastness in Him.
To not take counsel from our fears means that we trust in God’s guidance, assurance, and timing in our lives.
I promise each of us can and will be blessed with direction, protection, and lasting joy as we learn to not take counsel from our fears."-David A Bednar's facebook page (March 19th, 2015)

Happy Easter Everyone (in a few days)! Have a wonderful week and day thinking extra about the Savior's importance and love!

Don't forget to listen to General Conference! What a wonderful blessing it is to be able to listen to men and women who are speaking the will, mind, words of our Omniscient, Omnipotent Heavenly Father!

The Greatest Gift of All #sharethegift

Jesus Christ IS one of the greatest gifts ever given.  He is the Savior of men.  His Atonement makes it possible for us to become better everyday, return to live with and like God, have second chances, and third chances, and fourth chances..., and so we can know that someone else knows how we feel and all that we have, do, and will go through, which can be so comforting.  I am so grateful for the Savior and for all he has, does, and will do for me.  He gives me a good example to follow. He gives me hope.  He gives me forgiveness. He brings me joy. He gives me peace.

He gives me more of the Greatest Gifts anyone can ever receive.
